Alright, let’s get this tip out of the way first. Be sure to set your matchmaking preference before jumping into the game. By default, Outriders set this option to open. If you want to change that, head into the Options section from the character menu. Then proceed into the Gameplay tab and you can change your game’s privacy setting to solo or friends.

Bonus Outriders tip, if you die or if your inventory is full, auto-loot has your back. It’ll collect all the loot for you and store it in your stash.

Like any looter shooter or RPG game, it’s worth planning ahead when it comes to your build. There are some true skill gems out there. Some skills increase your chances of getting certain weapon types to drop more like the Pyromancer’s Assault Master class skill. This skill not only increases Assault Weapon damage but also adds a 12% chance for assault weapons to drop. So be sure to read EVERY skill description before spending precious class points on it.

This tip is for those interested in Outriders’ lore and completionists out there. For those who don’t know, you get lore items after doing certain milestones in the game. For example, you could check the stairs by Shira’s office, and they’d be empty during the early stages of the game. Come back later to the same spot and this time you’ll find a page from her journal. Just be diligent and you’ll after finishing missions and you’ll surely find some lore items.

Always Claim Tier Rewards

This Outriders tip is also another big one. As you unlock new tier levels, you’ll earn chests on the Tier selection screen. Always remember to claim these chests. It’s easy to forget about them since they are buried deep within menus. At the lower-level tiers, they don’t give out the best rewards. However, once you reach Tier 7, gear rewards become Epic loot. By Tier 12, chests begin giving out Legendary rewards.
