Teamfight Tactics Patch 14.15 Launches Set 12, Increases Bag Sizes
Patch 14.15 of Teamfight Tactics shipped on July 31st, 2024. This patch marks the launch of Teamfight Tactics: Magic n’ Mayhem, set 12 of Teamfight Tactics. Much of the new set was detailed when the set was announced. However, there are still a few things worth noting on patch 14.15.
One such change is an increase to the bag sizes of one, two, and three-cost champions. In addition, levels nine and ten now cost slightly less experience to obtain. Finally, most standard monster rounds are stronger, but players can now inspect standard monsters. These are some of the most notable changes on patch 14.15 of Teamfight Tactics.
Bag Size Increase
One notable change on patch 14.15 is an increase to the bag sizes of one, two, and three-cost champions. One-cost champions now have a bag size of 30, up from 22. There is also an extra one-cost champion compared to previous sets. Two-cost champions, meanwhile, increase their bag size to 25 from 20. Finally, the bag size for three-cost champions is now 18, up from 17. The bag size for four and five-cost champions is unchanged.
These changes now make it possible for three players to hit a three-star of the same one-cost champion. It is now also possible, albeit unlikely, for two players to hit a three-star of the same three-cost champion. It is still only possible for two players to hit a three-star of the same two-cost champion. However, the increased bag size makes it much more likely for that to occur.
Taken together, the bag size changes should make it feel less punishing to play a contested composition. In addition, one low-cost champion being a key piece of multiple separate compositions should not be as frustrating, either. Hopefully these changes help alleviate some of the frustrations players had with the smaller bag sizes.
Levels 9 and 10
On patch 14.15, it is now easier to reach the highest levels. Both level 9 and level 10 now cost 76 experience to reach, down from 80. This change should help encourage players to push these levels sooner and more frequently. This could naturally change the type of compositions that are most meta. Players can now reach these levels more consistently, so compositions needing these levels should also be more consistent.
Monster Rounds
Patch 14.15 also comes with big changes to monster rounds. All standard monster rounds except for Krugs are now stronger. In many cases, this buff involves increased health, armor, and/or magic resist (MR). In exchange, players can now inspect all standard monsters. This allows players to see what all monsters do each round, and plan accordingly.
Summary
Patch 14.15 is most notable for launching Teamfight Tactics: Magic n’ Mayhem, set 12 of Teamfight Tactics. In addition, the patch increases the bag size for one, two, and three-cost champions. Levels nine and ten are also easier to reach on patch 14.15. Finally, most standard monster rounds are more difficult, but players can now inspect standard monsters.
