During the HP Imagine 2026 event in New York, Lord Cognito of the Iron Lords Podcast went behind the scenes with a wide range of new HP technologies and hardware. You might remember that we were there last year, too. At the center of it all this year, HP showcased HP IQ, a workplace intelligence layer designed to unify the HP ecosystem through AI and proximity. Alongside that, the company revealed a slate of new HP peripherals, desktops, and gaming PCs.

HP Imagine 2026: HyperX and OMEN Gaming Innovations Breakdown

Lord Cognito (also known as “Cog” or “Lord Beefy”) got a close look at HyperX and OMEN’s latest push into AI‑powered gaming at HP Imagine 2026. From the start, the message came through clearly. This showcase wasn’t about flashy demos. Instead, it focused on performance, control, and reducing friction for players.

HyperX AI Headsets with Neurable Technology

The team opened with prototype HyperX gaming headsets equipped with Neurable AI sensors that “allegedly” read brainwave activity and measure player focus. In practice, the goal is to help gamers reach and maintain a locked‑in state rather than chase it mid‑match. I’m still pretty iffy on this tech, but genuinely open to being surprised if it’s actually possible.

HyperX claims this technology can improve aim and reaction time by 25 to 30 percent. That’s a bold claim. Still, Lord Addict could definitely use that kind of assist—if it holds up.

OMEN AI Gaming Hub Performance Optimization

Next, the team introduced Cognito to the AI Gaming Hub, a one‑click optimization tool that removes the usual headache of tuning game settings. Rather than forcing manual tweaks, the software automatically aligns operating system performance, hardware configurations, and in‑game settings for maximum efficiency.

As a result, players can skip hours of tweaking and twerking sliders and toggles. No second‑guessing. Naturally, the Lords are here for it.

The Gaming Hub currently supports 13 top PC titles, with plans to reach 50. Although HP didn’t name specific games, titles like Crimson Desert feel like obvious candidates given the momentum shown at HP Imagine 2026.

AI Features for Voice, Accessibility, and Content Creation

Beyond performance, the AI Gaming Hub integrates real‑time voice modification and animated avatars generated from scripts. Importantly, HP positions these tools as accessibility features and as ways to reduce harassment in online spaces. Darth Vader impressions are absolutely on the table.

Meanwhile, AI Gaming Hub also demonstrated automated gameplay analysis that selects and edits highlights into a clean one‑minute video. Because of that, creators can share clips quickly—without scrubbing footage after long sessions. And honestly, I’m too lazy to do that myself. I might need to look into this for myself.

HyperX / OMEN Gaming Hardware

OMEN MAX 45L Gaming Desktop

Cognito also spent hands‑on time with the OMEN MAX 45L desktop. This system packs Intel’s top‑tier CPUs and up to an NVIDIA RTX 4090, making its target audience very clear.

OMEN handles cooling through its cryo chamber design, while the toolless chassis makes upgrades painless. At this level, screws should never be a barrier.

OMEN 35L Desktop PC

In contrast, Cog also checked out the OMEN 35L, a smaller and more modular option. It supports AMD Radeon graphics, includes high‑speed USB ports, and relies on industry‑standard components for easier future upgrades.

Because of that flexibility, this system fits players who plan to evolve their rigs instead of replacing them every generation.

OMEN MAX 16 and OMEN 15 Gaming Laptops

At HP Imagine 2026, HyperX officially entered the laptop space with HyperX‑branded OMEN systems. These included the OMEN MAX 16 and OMEN 15, which Cognito walked out like they were on a red carpet. Not literally—but close.

HP positions the OMEN MAX 16 as the most powerful gaming laptop in its class, delivering up to 460 watts of total system power, with 300 watts dedicated to graphics. Notably, both laptops feature side‑mounted Ethernet ports and upgradeable RAM, which comes as a relief given current RAM prices.

HyperX Peripherals

HyperX Clutch Tachi Fighting Game Controller

Cog also spent time with the HyperX Clutch Tachi controller. This joystick‑less, leverless fighting game controller focuses on precision and uses Hall Effect switches with response times as low as 0.1 milliseconds.

As a result, clean combos come down to skill—no excuses. So, will you have what it takes for Fight Night Fridays with Lord King David?

HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless Headset

To close things out, Cognito put ears on the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 wireless headset. It delivers an impressive 250‑hour battery life, active noise cancellation, and dual-audio source support.

Ultimately, the headset targets long sessions and eliminates charging anxiety—a very real thing. Exactly how it should be. I need a review set.
