How to Take Advantage of Everything on Game Pass!
One thing that has taken the video game industry by storm, has been the introduction of Xbox Game Pass. Now, when it comes to the service, there have been primarily positive responses. Developers have come out and spoke about the visibility and increase in sales that the service has provided. And it’s been a hit with subscribers as well.
Game Pass Keeps Growing
To many people, Game Pass has been a blessing. It provides access to hundreds of games for the low price of $9.99 a month. There are few different versions of the subscription service such as Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox Game Pass ultimate being the best deal at $14.99 a month. New subscribers can even get in at one dollar for the first month. This gives you access to Xbox Gold, GP for PC, GP for Xbox, and the ability to use Xbox Cloud Gaming.
All first-party releases from Xbox studios are guaranteed to drop day 1 into the service. That means you will be able to download and try out games before a potential purchase. Do you want to play Halo Infinite but can’t buy it right away? Download and play via Game Pass or stream it with Cloud Gaming. Once you determine if you like a game you can purchase them in the store with a small discount.
It isn’t just first-party games in there either, because Xbox is pursuing second and third-party deals as well. Outriders and MLB: The Show were big deals that helped push Xbox Game Pass. With the huge Zenimax and Bethesda deal, it’s like there will be a never-ending supply of games. Xbox also has a deal with EA Play to have their games come to the service as well.
EA Play was a huge get for the service cause it means many beloved titles would be there. Madden, Mass Effect, and Star Wars are just a portion of the titles in the service, with many more to come. This service is a major player in Microsoft’s goal of reaching billions of gamers around the world!
Quests and Microsoft Rewards
Game Pass gives the ability to do these things called quests. Some are easy like logging into the mobile app or playing a GP game. Other quests require you to go deeper into a game like getting 100 kills, getting achievements, or other tasks ranging in difficulty. In all sincerity, none of the quests are hard to accomplish.
Once these are completed it gives you Microsoft reward points. These points can be redeemed for a large number of things. Some of these include Xbox gift cards, food gift cards, sweepstake entries, and you can even donate your points to different charities as well. There are other prizes you can redeem as well. This is excellent for people that can play a lot of games cause the more quests you do means the more points you get. A great example is some from doing the quests and Microsoft rewards things I was able to get enough points for gift cards which allowed me to get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition for only three dollars.
You aren’t limited to just getting games with the gift cards either. You can purchase equipment or gear from the store as well. When it comes to the number of points you get from quests it varies. Daily quests give the smallest amount, weekly quests give slightly more, then the monthly quests which require the most time give the highest amount of points.
Perks
A big benefit to Game Pass is the bonus of perks. Perks can be many things for cosmetics in-game, Spotify premium, free month of Disney Plus, among other perks. Last year, the pandemic began and Xbox has the insight to include in perk deals for free delivery food services. That being one of my favorite and most thoughtful perks. These perks usually provide some type of code, which with few clicks can be redeemed via the store.
World of Tanks, World of Warships, Phantasy Star Online 2, and Warframe are just four games that are there on an almost monthly basis. If you don’t play the games that have perks for that month you can still claim them. When you boot up a game that has perks if you didn’t use code right away, you can go into the store and enter it in to get the reward. Most games allow you to claim then when you boot up a game it’s just already there.
Game Pass provides so many positive things for the gaming space it is unreal. Things to remember to take advantage of the service is to make sure to check your quests daily and complete them for reward points. The more points you build up the better. It allows for to redeem for bigger rewards. Always remember to claim your rewards even if you aren’t currently playing that game to allow you to get used later. Try out as many games as you want, then if one is going to leave the service you can buy it at a discount in the store.
There are so many ways to take advantage of the service. It’s all about accessibility and Xbox and Microsoft trying to reach the billions of gamers out there. Some people out there might try to shame this service. You should never let those people affect how you game. Make sure to utilize Game Pass to its full advantage. There are so many games coming to this service on day one from first-party developers, EA Play, and other second and third-party deals. It’s like Xbox has too many games. With over 23 million subscribers in the service, it’s growing fast. This is truly a great time to be a gamer!
