If you are new to The Duviri Paradox and/or Warframe you are being thrust into simple yet intricate gameplay systems. The gameplay in Duviri is very primitive compared to the main game itself. So you will have little to memorize, but a lot to practice it all on. Here are some tips on getting you started with this new game mode.
The Duviri Paradox Gameplay Tips
Let us start with the basics:
Keep your Guard up
The Duviri Paradox is more challenging due to the lack of power the Drifter has in the beginning. So when you confront enemies, keep your guard up as they can attack from a distance or unpredictably close range.
Parry Often
Parrying is a new feature exclusive to The Duviri Paradox. Every enemy can be parried from within melee range except for the Malleus units. Parrying will allow you to deal massive damage to enemis, so do it as often as you can.
Heal Often
You will have a stim that can heal you slightly in combat. Considering the heal is pretty minimal, you should use this as often as possible. Since enemies will not give you much room to breathe.
Quick Shot Often
Alongside your regular melee weapon is your Sirocco. When you are using melee attacks you can perform a quick fire attack to deal a little bit of damage to enemies, or interrupt their special attacks. When you interrupt enemies they will be knocked down and going up to them and attacking them can sometimes kill them instantly.
Focus on Select Enemies
When engaging with any encounter, use a process of elimination of who you should take down first. If an archer is giving you trouble, duel it with your Sirocco. Or simply take down bigger foes until the weaklings remain.
Take Advantage of Decrees
Some decrees in The Duviri Paradox can give you major boosts to your melee damage. As well as smaller boons for your Sirocco. Always go for higher damage decrees to help take down enemies quicker.
Upgrade Your Intrinsics
Some intrinsics can make a major difference. Such as giving your more health or damage per decree you earn. While others can instantly heal you when you select a decree in Duviri. Not to mention you can get abilities for your Kaithe. So always go back to upgrade regularly.
Use Your Smokescreen
If you need a breather in combat, pop your smokescreen to assess your situation. Additionally, you can use this to revive teammates easily or give yourself a secret spot to snipe with your Sirocco.
