As part of the summer 2021 all-digital gaming conventions, yesterday was Gamescom Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards. The two-hour Opening Night Live looked at nearly 40 upcoming games. As well as brand new game announcements. Check out all the major announcements below.

Saints Row Reboot Announced

The trailer shows off a lot of action, teasing a number of gameplay elements. Saints Row is going to have three major factions and the player will be inserted right into the middle of the action. The trailer ends with the game’s release date, which will be 2/25/2022. Pre-orders are live.

Jett: The Far Shore Release Date

PlayStation fans will remember Jett: The Far Shore from Sony’s 2020 event where they unveiled the PlayStation 5. For those still waiting to get their hands on the game, you will not have to wait much longer. Jett: The Far Shore will have a worldwide release on October 5th, 2021. You can save 20% by pre-ordering the game right now on the PlayStation store. As for anyone choosing to wait, Jett will retail at $39.95. Watch the new trailer above.

Marvel’s Mightnight Suns Announced

Marvel’s Mightnight Suns is being published by 2K and will release in March of next year. The trailer features characters from Avengers, X-Men, X-Force, and a brand new character created for the game. The team has promised a gameplay reveal on September 1st.

Halo Infinite Has A Release Date

Among the most ambitious announcements from Gamescom comes the latest update to Halo Infinite. The game will launch on December 8, 2021. The Gamescom Opening Night Live event gave us a new look at the much-anticipated title. In addition to the long-awaited release date, the event gave a new look at Halo Infinite‘s story-driven multiplayer.

Cult of the Lamb Reveal

Devolver Digital announced its latest title, Cult of the Lamb. The game casts players in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger and must repay their debt by building a loyal following in his name. Start your own cult in a land of false prophets, venturing out into diverse and mysterious regions to build a loyal community of woodland worshippers and spread your Word to become the one true cult.

Riders Republic Open Beta

Gamescom Opening Light Live detailed the announcement of Riders Republic open public Beta which can be downloaded right now, here. As well as a brand new trailer. The trailer brings a new look at the story campaign behind Riders Republic. The open beta closes on August 28th for users on PC and consoles. Riders Republic launches on October 28.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge New Trailer, Delay

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is being developed by Tribute Games, the team behind Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In conjunction with Dotemu the publisher of Streets of Rage 4, and Windjammers 2. With that our expectations are set high with this one. TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge looks absolutely stunning. It captures both, the classic arcade games and the original animated series.

The new trailer shows off a playable April O’Neil, as well as some stunning finishing moves. Unfortunately, Dotemu did not drop a release date. Yet, it is nice to see the game growing. This is one we are looking forward to as the press release now dates the game for some time in 2022.

Horizon Forbidden West will drop globally on February 18, 2022. Along with the release date the team at Guerrilla has announced Horizon Zero Dawn received a free update for the PS5. A few weeks back we reported on a delay and that has come to fruition. While the team was aiming for a 2021 release, the new Covid-19 work from home restrictions in Europe has impacted the development of the game.

Sifu Makes Its Way To PlayStation and PC Next February

After a delay that saw the game miss its Summer 2021 release window, Sifu was reportedly set to release sometime during the Spring of 2022. Now thanks to a new trailer from Sloclap we now have an official date to mark on the calendar. Sifu will officially launch on February 22nd, 2021, and is coming to PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 as well as PC via the Epic Games Store.

The game is officially available for pre-purchase as well. It is worth noting that the deluxe edition of the game will allow players 48 hours early access to the title. This means if you are really itching for a hard-hitting martial arts game, this might be for you.

CrossfireX Gets Brand New Multiplayer Trailer

During Gamescom Opening Night Live we got a brand new trailer for CrossfireX’s multiplayer. The game looks improved from the last time we saw it in closed beta earlier last year, with a focus on big explosions and fast-paced action. CrossfireX is set to release sometime this year, but unfortunately, this trailer does nothing more than tease us.

Age Of Empires IV Gets Brand New Trailer

A brand new trailer for Age Of Empires IV was released. The trailer teases the Rise of Moscow campaign, as well as The Holy Roman Empire civilization in a quick and action-packed minute and a half trailer. With a wide variety of factions that span all the corners of the globe, with unique units and capabilities. As well as a variety of unique and historic campaigns and battles for players to attack, defend and grow their empires.

Far Cry 6 Gets Brand Story Trailer

Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live also revealed a new Far Cry 6 story trailer. The veteran franchise continues to remain within the mainstream of AAA video games. Far Cry 6 aims to outdo previous installments and steps up the action. The game is slated to release on October 7, 2021.
